On Tuesday May 31, 7T were the first of the year 7 classes to receive a set of iPads recently purchased by the school. 7T are trialling the program for approximately five weeks. Other Year 7 classes will then follow until the end of 2011. It is hoped that Year 7 can enhance their learning by using these tablet devices in class by having easy access to the internet or subject relevant 'Aps'.

During their first language lesson on Wednesday June 1, 7T were highly engaged using the iPads to demonstrate to Mr Percy their ability in writing kanji characters correctly using a variety of iPad applications such as 'Hiragana', "Doodlebuddy', Art of Glow', 'Kotoba' and 'Whiteboard'. Some of these applications could even indicate to Mr Percy if the stroke order was correct in generating the character!
